ABOUT
MMGC is a choir with soul! We sing a wide range of Gospel, soul and contemporary music, from early spirituals like Steal Away, the golden era of the gospel quartets, the soul gospel sounds of 60‘s and 70‘s, Aretha Franklin’s classic songs, Mavis Staples, Bob Dylan, gospel giants such as Kirk Franklin as well as local Australian First Nations artists like the iconic Archie Roach.

Melbourne Mass Gospel Choir is bringing the flavour of freedom to the Clyde Hotel on Tues 26 Nov to shine light in the dark corners and raise funds for humanitarian care for Palestinians in Gaza.
Brilliant music by MMGC's 30+ strong voices and gospel band, chance to have a big sing with the choir, free entry and contribute to positive action in the world.

The choir rehearses 7.30 to 9.00pm every Tuesday evening during school term at the beautiful Church Of All Nations, 180 Palmerston St, Carlton

Everyone is welcome! There are currently no audition requirements for the choir.

The choir fee is $18 per night paid in advance as a term fee. Casual attendance can be negotiated and the cost is $20 per night. Try out nights are charged at the casual rate.

We strive to sing well, so you’ll need to be available for approx 80% of rehearsals and to do some learning at home during the week. Occasional section rehearsals might be arranged if we have a gig coming up.
